Assisted standing programs are employed as part of the postural management approach for children through to adults who are unable to independently maintain well aligned standing or who have limited mobility in the upright position.
With the Ella, everyday standing training is simple and easy. Increasing muscle tone, stretching the muscles, strengthening the bones and ligaments, while preventing postural disorders can be done effortlessly with the Ella.

Features & Functionalities
Supine position
We can use the Ella with the range of posterior supports to allow the supine positions, useful for low tone, where poor head or trunk control is a problem, encouraging the learning of a more stable standing position, encouraging a more upright position as tolerance allows and improves.
Prone position
We can use the Ella with the range of anterior supports to achieve an active and dynamic position when in prone. Research demonstrates that when positioned either in an upright close to neutral position or tilted moderately in to a prone angle we can maximise the benefits to spinal extension, create benefits for increasing bone density and growth, as well as providing an optimal position to allow a stretch of the muscle mass, and play a part in preventing contractures. Functional implications and participation is also maximised, allowing interaction in multiple environments, home, classroom, and otherwise, facilitating occupation in the prone position.
Upright position
Ella tilt can be adjusted to fully vertical position allowing the Ella to be used to support an upright standing posture when needed. Modularity of the Ella allows you to order Ella with only the needed modules or to take off the unnecessary modules from the stander you have leaving ony the modules needed to support the client in upright standing. What you need is up to you.
Abducted position
When there is a need for greater abduction, either in prone or supine position, you can choose the Ella as 4-in-1 version. With the 4-in-1 version the available abduction angles are over 18° per side, reaching more than 60° combined abduction angles and starting from 0°.
The 4-in-1 version is particularly useful in clinics and schools where multiple users are using the same product in their standing training. Ella 4-in-1 reduces the need of separate devices for supine, prone, abduction and upright standing when all you need is one product; the Ella.
Rotational supports
Unique rotational supports available for pelvic and thoracic trunk areas are designed to support standing posture for example in cases of scoliosis, lordisis and kyphosis. Ability to rotate the support and set the support to where it is needed eliminates the need of adding foam pads, wedges or extra pillows. Simultaneously the rotation helps to remove the possible pressure points created by client leaning against edges of supports.
Presice Fit
Interchangeable and individually adjustable modules secures the optimal fit of the ELLA Stander. Every module, in any size, can be combined with any size of Ella Stander creating an optimally fitting stander for each individual client.
Wide gowth range
Smallest user being 60 cm in height, tallest user being 180 cm in height and including any height in between. Ella Stander is a choice covering the growth of a client from the childhood to the steps of adulthood.
Added value
As added value all the sizes are operated and adjusted similarly, all functions are stepless and bilateral, all sizes has same functionalities and all the accessories are available to every size stander. All sizes grow without additional components and all adjustments are visible allowing the client remain standing while finalizing the adjustments. All this is designed to quarentee the precision, precise fit and continuity of training throughout the growth of the client.
Lower leg adjustments
Ella Stander offers a wide selection of lower leg and foot adjustments as standard. The standard adjustments include: Leg abduction, knee flexion, foot width & depth, foot abduction & adduction, foot plantar- & dorsiflexion and also foot pronation & supination. All stepless and bilateral naturally.
Powered tilt
Every size of Ella Stander is possible to get with power assisted tilt mechanism. This quarentees the speed of inclination to be similar independent to person operating the tilt. A tilt angle indicator is available as an accessory for both manual and powered tilt mechanisms.
Cushions & Fabric
Ella Stander cushions are comfortable and removable 30 mm thick foam cushions.
Upholsteries are available in various colors in two fabric types: Aqua Stirata and Dartex Performance, out of which Dartex is washable in washing machine even in 70°C temperature.

Insert just six body measures of client, tick a box or two and get the Ella Stander configuration matching to your client.
Interactive tool developed by Timo during the Covid-19 has proven to increase precision and helping to configurate the stander also after pandemic.
Size Guide
The Ella is available in five different sizes for a wide range of users.
The smallest size is for children of the age of approximately six months through to four years, with a height range of 60 – 95 cm and a maximum weight of 30 kg.
For children from three years to seven years of age, size 2 provides a height range of 90 – 130 cm and a maximum user weight of 40 kg.
Going forward to the larger stander, size 3 stretches from 120 to 155 cm and carries a 55 kg user.
The largest one, size 4, grows from 130 to 180 cm in user length and supports a maximum weight of 80 kg. Size 4 is always equipped with a powered actuator tilt, in order to maintain the balanced operation.
The right size stander for a individual user is a result of user weight and height. The given age ranges are for guidance purposes only.

Fabric Options
Dartex Performance
Dartex Performance is water resistant and wet wipeable fabric available in four colors. Dartex upholsteries are also machine washable in upto 70°C temperature after removing cushioning. Smooth surface of the Dartex is extremely easy to keep clean with wiping and it is getting more and more popular as a choice of cover material.
For the ones preferring more tradional “fabric like” surface the option is Dartex Reversed which maintains all the features of Dartex but gives a different touch.
When needed new cover sets are available as spare part.
Agua Stirata
Aqua Stirata is water resistant and moist wipeable fabric availabel in three colors. Aqua Stirata upholstieries can be steam cleaned in-situ, but they are not machine washable. Upholsteries are removable from the cushions in case needed.
Surface of the Aqua Stirata is traditional fabric type which makes it a preferred choice for some clients, parents and carers.
When needed new cover sets are available as spare part.

ELLA Configurator
This unique online tool is designed to help you to configurate a stander when aiming for optimal fit for individual client.
By inserting just six body measures of client and ticking a box or two covering client special needs, you will get the Ella Stander configuration best matching to your client body measures and needs.
Using the given measures and indentified special needs the tool will automatically go throught the module and accessory options and chooses the best fitting parts as a recommendation. This is designed to initiate a dialogue with your local Timo distributor. Going further in dialogue you can choose to use the recommended configuration or change the preselected modules and accessories as you wish.
This Interactive tool was developed by Timo during the Covid-19 when physical contacts were often very much limited. But, as the tool has proven to increase precision and has helped to configurate the stander faster with less contacts, we believe it adds value to our clients and their carers also after the pandemic.
